Bright Chimezie sends message to Davido for sampling song

Music icon Bright Chimezie has sent a message to Davido, applauding him for sampling his song in his hit single ‘With you’.

Chimezie did this on Thursday with a video he posted on his Instagram page where he was seen rnjoying the track which features Omah Lay.

Davido’s song sampled the track ‘Because of you’ by Chimezie and has been a success since its release.

He commended Davido’s work, praising him for finding inspiration from his track.

‘You can see I am vibing to the song already. It’s a beautiful piece of work, very wonderful. I appreciate the fact that you said you picked the inspiration from this song I recorded many years ago, I appreciate you for that,” he said.

Davido responded to the post in Igbo language, calling him a true music legend.

“People like you inspire me. Chief Sir Bright Chimezie, a true music legend,” he wrote in Igbo.
