U.S. President Donald Trump described his recent conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin as “very well,” indicating that Russia and Ukraine would “immediately start negotiations towards a ceasefire.”

Trump said the talks show promising progress but emphasized that the warring nations themselves should determine the terms of any ceasefire.

On the Russian side, President Vladimir Putin told reporters that Russia is ready to collaborate with Ukraine on a peace memorandum and is open to discussing “compromises,” though he did not specify the details.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested the possibility of a “high-level” meeting involving Ukraine, Russia, the U.S., the EU, and Britain to find a resolution to the conflict.
