Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha also known as Basketmouth has called out Wizkid for his choice of stage name.
Basketmouth stated this at the AY live event on Sunday where he commended Davido for being consistent.
“David has been consistent. He even used his real name, Davido. Consistent for years. David has been going on stage with a 100 people. Till today him still maintain that number,” he said.
The comedian also stated that Wizkid had tried to change his name as the years went by, but the name had stuck.
“Wizkid give himself wizkid him forget say him go grow old. Now he is struggling to change the name, nobody gree – machala, na lie you are a Wizkid. Big Bird, na lie, you’re a kid. Wizkid no be as e dey be for. Be for him dey whine waist, dey go choreography on top stage.
Basketmouth also took a swipe at Burna Boy for adding ‘Boy’ to his stage name.
