Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of Afrobeats star Davido, has once again stirred the waters of controversy after throwing shade at the singer during a recent Instagram Live session.
In the video, Momodu responded to followers urging her to give her daughter, Imade Adeleke, a sibling. Her response appeared to take a swipe at Davido’s widely known large extended family:
“My daughter has like 15,000 siblings, I don’t need to rush into anything,” she said with a laugh.
The comment quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), where user @ja_30bg posted the clip, calling out the entrepreneur and reality star with harsh words:
“Very ugly fool. Don’t go and marry mumu … All this Sophia fans better warn old gray hair kpekus call Sophia Momodu,” the user wrote alongside the video.
This isn’t the first time Sophia has made public statements referencing her strained relationship with Davido. A year ago, amid social media drama involving the singer and his now-wife Chioma Rowland, Sophia clapped back at a troll who brought up Davido, saying:
“After he had 10,000 women and 15,000 children, people still mention my name.”

This comes amid an ongoing custody battle between Davido and Sophia.
In June 2024, the music star filed a lawsuit requesting joint custody of their daughter, claiming that Sophia was denying him access and using their daughter to extort money—an allegation she strongly denied.
In her counter-affidavit, Sophia cited the tragic death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, and alleged emotional instability as reasons the singer is unfit for joint custody.
She had previously accused Davido of financial abuse and shared a heartbreaking message from Imade to her grandmother, where the child expressed sadness over her father’s absence and her brother’s death.
