Army unleashes fury on terrorists in Gajibo: Deadly night raid ends in bloodbath

In a dramatic overnight showdown, gallant troops of Operation HADIN KAI crushed a daring assault by JAS and ISWAP terrorists on the Nigerian Army’s Forward Operating Base in Gajibo, Borno State.

The heavily armed militants struck at 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, but were met with blistering resistance from determined soldiers, reinforced swiftly by elite forces from Brigade Headquarters and the 134 Special Forces Battalion.

In the thunderous counter-attack that followed, troops stormed the battlefield, neutralising at least five terrorists and forcing the rest to flee in disarray.

The military recovered a deadly arsenal from the scene: an AK 101 rifle, dozens of rounds of ammunition, a grenade, tactical radio gear, masks, boots, and other terrorist equipment.

The Nigerian Army declared the operation a resounding success, reaffirming its unyielding commitment to rooting out terrorism and keeping the Northeast secure.

Operation HADIN KAI continues to dominate the frontlines, delivering decisive blows to insurgent groups with unrelenting firepower and strategic precision.
