Controversial Nigerian street-hop artiste, Portable, has stirred social media backlash after claiming that his breakout hit, Zazoo Zehh, is more popular than Ice Prince’s classic song Oleku.
In a video he posted online, Portable boldly stated:
“Zazoo blow pass ‘Oleku’ o, make una tell Ice Prince. They dey play my song for clubs…”
The statement has stirred reactions from netizens who found his comment disrespectful to Ice Prince’s legacy.
A user, @heisbiodun, wrote: “Wahala sef don tire Portable, e no fit shout again.”
Another user, @makanakiiiiii, added: “This boy and disrespect na 5&6… When Ice Prince blow, this werey still dey tiff phone for Sango.”
Others questioned Portable’s consistency as an artiste.
@emperorzola commented: “This guy no fit sing better song without featuring other artists. That’s the only way his song can really blow.”
Defending Ice Prince’s relevance, @MarvinAgunkwo said: “At this very moment they’re playing ‘Oleku’ in the gym close to my apartment – you can’t make this up.”
