Additionally, it said a mop-up examination is being planned exclusively for candidates who missed both the main and resit examinations due to biometric verification issues, and those who had been granted a special waiver for 2025.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has dismissed messages circulating on social media and via SMS, purportedly from its official 66019 shortcode, instructing candidates to reprint examination slips for a new test.

In a statement signed by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Wednesday, JAMB clarified that the messages were not from the Board and described them as false, misleading, and intended to create confusion among candidates, particularly those who had already taken the resit examination and received their results.

“These messages are not from JAMB. There are currently no scheduled examinations requiring reprinting of slips. Candidates who have completed the resit and received their results should disregard such directives,” the statement read.

JAMB further explained that the only upcoming examination on its schedule is the foreign exam, which is conducted in nine countries across Europe, the Middle East, and select African nations.

Additionally, it said a mop-up examination is being planned exclusively for candidates who missed both the main and resit examinations due to biometric verification issues, and those who had been granted a special waiver for 2025.

The Board urged the public to remain vigilant and not fall prey to fraudulent schemes. It also assured that eligible candidates for the mop-up examination will be formally notified once preparations are concluded.

JAMB reiterated its commitment to transparency and accurate communication, advising candidates to rely solely on official channels for information.
