Popular Nigerian comedian turned singer, Nasboi, has launched a unique 36-day “kneeling tour” across Nigeria, in a bid to secure a music collaboration with Afrobeats star Davido.
The entertainer, who rose to fame mimicking Davido’s voice and mannerisms, said he had been trying unsuccessfully for five years to get the singer’s attention.
Now, he’s taking his passion to the streets—literally—by kneeling in front of government houses in all 36 states of the federation.
Nasboi kicked off the unusual campaign on Wednesday with a stop at the Osun State Government Secretariat, where he held up a placard pleading for a verse from Davido. By Thursday, he was spotted kneeling at the Kano State Government House.
Sharing his journey on Instagram, Nasboi wrote:
“I will be kneeling across the 36 states for 36 days. I pray this dream comes to pass. Please just tag @davido everyday when you see the post.”
