Falz blows hot at President Tinubu’s two years in office
Nigerian rapper and activist Falz has openly criticized President Bola Tinubu over his administration’s performance after two years in power, describing the period as marked by setbacks rather than progress.
In a recent interview with Arise TV, Falz expressed disappointment, stating that Nigerians have yet to see tangible improvements since Tinubu assumed office.
“It goes without saying, that more than anything we’ve moved backwards. There is not much progress that has been recorded,” Falz said.
He also referenced President Tinubu’s popular campaign slogan, “Emilokan” — meaning “it’s my turn” — questioning what the administration has actually accomplished so far.
“I think I remember the campaign slogan being ‘Emilokan,’ which translates to ‘it’s my turn.’ And now it just seems like, what were you planning on doing? We are still waiting.”
Known for using his platform to speak on governance and civic issues, Falz concluded by acknowledging the remaining two years in Tinubu’s tenure, but urged for more visible action soon.
“It’s remaining two more years. Maybe there is still a plan. But as it stands now, first half, we never see anything.”
