Karen Bujulu, the ex-girlfriend of Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, has finally addressed her past relationship following the singer’s grand wedding finale to Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo.
The wedding, which took place last month in Tanzania, attracted top celebrities and dignitaries across the East African entertainment scene.
But while Jux and Priscilla basked in the glow of their union, Karen took to Instagram to share her side of the story and dispel circulating rumours.
In her post, Karen clarified that she was the one who endured infidelity during her relationship with Juma Jux, which began in 2022 and ended in February 2024. She noted that she had stayed and forgiven until she reached her breaking point.
“I’ve kept quiet for the longest while people dragged my name and ran with lies. I didn’t cheat. I was the one who got cheated on. I stayed too long, forgave till I couldn’t anymore,” she wrote.
Karen emphasized that she’s not interested in rekindling any ties with her ex and asked the public to respect her peace and privacy. “I didn’t speak because I didn’t see the need to explain myself online, but somehow, everything I post still gets turned into something about him,” she stated. “I’ve moved on. I’ve healed. I promise you, I don’t want anything or anyone back.”

The high-profile union began with a family introduction earlier this year, followed by a civil ceremony in Lagos on the eve of Valentine’s Day, a traditional wedding in Nigeria, a beachside white wedding, and finally, the wedding finale held in Jux’s hometown on May 28, 2025.
