Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has accused popular social media critic, Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, of allowing himself to be used against the Christian faith and Nigerian pastors.
Ossai made the statement in a social media post on Sunday, June 8, where he reacted to VeryDarkMan’s ongoing criticism of church leaders, particularly Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock and Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.
The controversy stemmed from a viral video that showed Pastor Adefarasin confronting a car spotter with what appeared to be a pistol-like object.
While the pastor has denied pointing a firearm or being aggressive, VeryDarkMan reposted and zoomed in on the footage, claiming it was a pistol and that such behavior was “scary” and “illegal.”
In response, Ossai wrote, “Very Dark Man can’t abuse Imams, but he can abuse pastors and Christians? I’m disappointed in VeryDarkMan for allowing himself to be used by the devil against the body of Christ. The young boy needs spiritual cleansing.”
He further expressed concern that the critic wouldn’t dare challenge Islamic leaders the same way he targets Christian clergy, alleging bias and disrespect toward the church.
