A joint team of security operatives in Katsina State successfully foiled a kidnap attempt and rescued 11 victims on Sunday.
The operatives, comprising police, military, DSS, Operation Sharan Daji, Katsina State Community Watch Corps, and vigilantes, were on a routine patrol along the Danmusa to Mara Dangeza village road when they encountered a group of armed bandits attempting to escape with their victims.

According to Abubakar Sadiq, PPRO, the operatives recorded a significant breakthrough in the ongoing fight against kidnapping and banditry in the state. The Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, commended the operatives for their bravery and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to fighting kidnapping in the state.
The police commissioner urged the public to continue supporting the efforts of the command and other security agencies by reporting suspicious activities timely. Investigation is ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects and prevent further occurrences.
