UK-based Nigerian reality star, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has taken a swipe at Nigerian pastors, particularly reacting to the recent controversy involving the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin.
In a fiery video shared on her X handle, Tacha condemned Adefarasin for allegedly brandishing a pistol-like object at a car spotter and accused him of attempting to gaslight the public with his explanation.
Recall that Adefarasin was caught in a viral video holding what appeared to be a firearm while confronting a car spotter filming his vehicle. The pastor later claimed the object was not a weapon and denied pointing it at anyone, stating that the car spotter was aggressive.
Tacha, however, rejected the pastor’s account, saying:
“There’s nothing I hate more than gaslighting. Everybody saw the video. From the video, we can tell who the aggressor was… The boy was even hailing the pastor. How was he being aggressive?”
She also criticized church members who supported Adefarasin during his Sunday service:
“Nothing pain me pass the gullible congregation that was clapping and cheering… Did you have selective blindness?”
Tacha further accused Nigerian pastors of taking advantage of the lax system in the country, stating:
“90 per cent of our Nigerian pastors will not get away with what they do in Nigeria outside the country. The kind of Christianity they practice, if they try it elsewhere, their churches would close down within a year.”
