“I would’ve quit if I lacked talent,” L.A.X claps back at critics

Nigerian singer Damilola Afolabi, better known by his stage name L.A.X, has responded to ongoing claims by critics who question his musical talent.

In a recent interview with Guardian Life, the ‘Caro’ crooner dismissed the notion that he lacks talent, saying his dedication to music and consistency prove otherwise.

“I’m waking up every day hustling, going to the studio, working, and trying to put out great music,” L.A.X said. “If I wasn’t as talented as people think, I would have stopped a long time ago.”

The artist, who rose to prominence in 2013 after collaborating with Wizkid on the hit track Caro and signing with Starboy Entertainment, stressed that his continued presence in the industry is no accident but the result of hard work and commitment.
