Nigerian music icon D’banj has broken his silence on the ongoing feud between the famous Okoye brothers — Peter, Paul, and Jude — calling for calm and suggesting that national leaders step in to resolve the dispute before it escalates further.
The family rift recently took a legal turn after Peter Okoye dragged Jude Okoye and his label, Northside Entertainment, to court over an alleged $1 million fraud.
The situation became more complicated when Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) publicly sided with Jude, accusing Peter of attempting to destroy their elder brother’s reputation.
Speaking during an interview on Adesope Live, D’banj expressed his concerns over the deteriorating situation. “The saga between Peter and Jude is a very sad one. When you want to fight, you only know the beginning… you don’t know the end,” he said.
The Oliver Twist crooner, who revealed that he recently had a candid conversation with Peter, emphasized that the brothers still have an opportunity to reconcile and protect their shared legacy, noting the immense value of P-Square’s music catalogue.
“People have been trying to buy my catalogue for over 10 years, and I haven’t sold. P-Square’s catalogue is even bigger,” D’banj added.
Surprisingly, the veteran entertainer went further to call on the Federal Government and respected industry figures to intervene. He referenced how former President Olusegun Obasanjo once helped football legend Jay Jay Okocha resolve a financial issue.
