Controversial social media critic, VeryDarkMan, has taken aim at Nigerian music superstars Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid, accusing them of excessive showmanship and a lack of meaningful contribution to the communities they hail from.

In a video that has stirred strong reactions online, VeryDarkMan berated the trio for flaunting their luxurious lifestyles while allegedly neglecting their societal responsibilities.

“You guys keep buying cars and rubbing it in the face of people. Don’t you people read the room?” he said, pointing to recent lavish purchases by the artists.

“Burna Boy bought a car equivalent to ₦3 billion, and Davido also bought a car for ₦1 billion.”

He went further to question what tangible impact the artists have made in their home states, despite amassing immense wealth and influence.

“The states you guys came from, what can you boast that you have done? What have people there benefited from you?” he asked.

“All you people do is show off your wealth, throw small naira on the road, and people hailing you, because you know Nigerians worship money.”

VeryDarkMan also highlighted the disconnect between the artists’ global success and their perceived lack of grassroots engagement.

“You have benefited from the country. What can the fans say they have benefited from you?”

The viral video has since triggered a wider conversation online about the responsibilities of public figures and celebrities, particularly in a country where poverty and inequality remain widespread.

While the artists are yet to respond to the criticism, many fans are divided, some agreeing with the need for more community investment, while others defend the entertainers’ right to spend their money as they chose.
