Popular content creator Kiekie mourns

Popular Nigerian media personality and content creator, Kiekie, is currently mourning the tragic loss of her beloved sister.

In an emotional post shared on her Instagram page, Kiekie revealed that her sister, Adepero, passed away on June 6, 2025.

Expressing her deep grief, the heartbroken media star described the loss as the most painful experience of her life.

“SO THIS IS LIFE?! MY ADEPERO IS GONE!! Ahhh!!! This is too hard for me! Adepero mi eleyi o te mi lorun o, but I hand everything to our maker!” she wrote in part.

Kiekie recounted the heartbreaking moment she received the devastating news from her sister’s husband, describing how her heart felt like it was “tearing out of [her] chest.” She also reflected on their close bond, sharing how much her sister’s love, laughter, and warm hugs meant to her.

The media personality expressed that nothing could have prepared her for such a huge loss, adding that the void her sister left behind is unimaginable. Kiekie, who was also the godmother to her sister’s child, expressed her readiness to now step into a motherly role for the child.

In her touching tribute, Kiekie thanked God for the precious memories they shared and expressed hope of reuniting with her sister someday. She concluded her tribute by writing, “Till we meet again, My Sister Girl.”
