A Magistrate’s Court in Bolade, Oshodi, has sentenced 52-year-old Canadian returnee, Mr Morufudeen Idowu, to three months imprisonment for crossing the Ojota Expressway, resisting arrest, and assaulting a Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officer.

Idowu, who pleaded guilty to the charges, was convicted and sentenced accordingly on Friday.

Reacting to the court’s ruling, Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr Tokunbo Wahab, said the government would not tolerate any form of aggression against its officials performing lawful duties.
