Tanzanian music star, Diamond Platnumz, has revealed that he is married to fellow singer Zuchu.
The singer made the revelation in a video shared online, where he disclosed that although they are already married, a bigger ceremony is still on the way.
“So the wedding, the real one, is coming. This one was just for family. It was between us. Just a little something. Nobody knew anything,” Diamond stated during an interview.
Explaining why they kept the relationship private, the superstar said he didn’t want his personal life to overshadow his music career.
“Back in the days, we didn’t want people to know. I didn’t want people to lose focus on my music and start focusing on my relationship,” he explained.
Diamond also addressed potential criticisms over his public performances with other women, despite being married.
“You can be married, but you can be committed. I’m an entertainer. If I’m doing a show or shooting with a lady, it’s work. Don’t start asking, ‘What about your wife?’ I’m working here,” he said.
