The Nigerian government has officially launched a digital portal for the upcoming Nigeria Youth Conference, popularly known as the National Youth Confab.
Announcing the development on Monday, the Minister of Youth Development, Ayode Olawande, said the initiative is designed to actively engage young Nigerians in national policy discussions and developmental strategies.
Olawande emphasized that the conference will be inclusive, non-partisan, and entirely youth-led. He unveiled the conference theme as “Next Gen Nigeria: Crafting Solutions, Owning the Future.”
According to him, the portal will enable interested delegates to register, contribute to conversations, and receive real-time updates throughout the duration of the Confab.
Describing the initiative as “more than just a conference,” the minister called it “a generational turning point, a national movement, and a call to action.”
President Bola Tinubu had initially announced the 30-day Youth Confab in his Independence Day address in October 2024. In March 2025, he inaugurated a 44-member Planning Committee for the National Youth Conference at the State House in Abuja.
