The Lagos entertainment scene witnessed an explosion of sound and energy over the weekend as Bullion Records’ rising star, Harcher, unveiled his much-anticipated debut extended play (EP), The Great Arrival, on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
The release was followed by a high-octane listening party held at Xtacy Premium Night Club, Ikeja, which drew a large and enthusiastic crowd of music lovers, influencers, industry stakeholders, and media personalities. The night further cemented Harcher’s growing reputation as one of Nigeria’s most electrifying new talents.
Distributed across major digital platforms such as Boomplay, Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, and YouTube Music, The Great Arrival is a seven-track project (six official tracks plus a bonus feature) that fuses Afrobeats, soul, and contemporary sounds.
The EP explores themes of resilience, joy, love, and gratitude, reflecting the personal and creative evolution of the artist—real name Abdul Rahman Yusuf.
“This project means everything to me,” Harcher told journalists before the launch. “It’s not just an EP—it’s my life in music, my message to the world, and my declaration that I’m here to stay.”
The EP features production from top producers such as Yeba, Shocker, Dr. Syk, Aris, and Levels Beats, with standout tracks like Jo Si (Dance To It), 2AM, Stamina, and the bonus number Gratitude featuring Adewale Spice.
The launch party at Xtacy Night Club turned into a full-blown celebration of music and movement. Harcher took to the stage to perform every track from the EP, backed by dancers and dazzling light effects. Guests responded with unrelenting cheers, singing along and dancing into the early hours.
“I’m overwhelmed by the support tonight,” Harcher said during a red carpet interview. “Sharing this moment with everyone means the world to me. Every song on this project tells a story—of pain, of hustle, of love. And tonight, we all got to live that story together.”
Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, Chairman and CEO of Bullion Records, was also in attendance.
Speaking to reporters, he praised the young artiste’s talent, work ethic, and charisma.
“Harcher is a movement,” Ajadi stated. “What we saw tonight proves he is not just a musician—he’s a voice of a new generation. The Great Arrival is more than a project; it’s a statement that African music is evolving, and Bullion Records is proud to be at the forefront.”
The night also saw the premiere of the much-anticipated music video for Jo Si (Dance To It)—a colourful, high-energy production already gaining traction across MTV Base, Soundcity, HipTV, and Trace Naija.
A surprise documentary screened during the event gave fans an emotional behind-the-scenes look at Harcher’s journey through the making of the EP, offering a deeper insight into the man behind the music.
Influenced by global and African icons such as Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Brent Faiyaz, 2Baba, Mr. P, and Wizkid, Harcher first gained attention in May during a Boomplay Live interview where fans unofficially dubbed him “The King of Vibez and Energy”—a title he is now living up to in full force.
“I’m just getting started,” Harcher said. “This is The Great Arrival, but the journey ahead is even greater. Expect more music, more energy, and more moments that bring us all together.”
The Great Arrival is now streaming on all platforms.
