The English Premier League has officially released the full schedule of matches for the 2025/26 season, with fans eagerly marking their calendars for what promises to be another thrilling campaign.
The new season is set to kick off on Friday, August 15, 2025, with Liverpool hosting AFC Bournemouth under the lights at Anfield, a clash scheduled for 8:00 PM UK time and to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
The opening weekend continues on Saturday, August 16, when Aston Villa take on Newcastle United at 12:30 PM, followed by several 3:00 PM fixtures: Brighton vs. Fulham, Nottingham Forest vs. Brentford, Sunderland vs. West Ham, and Tottenham vs. Burnley. That evening at 5:30 PM, Manchester City begin their title defence away at Wolves, also live on Sky Sports.
Sunday brings two blockbuster matchups, with Chelsea facing Crystal Palace at 2:00 PM, before the spotlight shifts to Old Trafford, where Manchester United welcome Arsenal at 4:30 PM, in a headline-grabbing showdown. Leeds United will round off the matchweek on Monday, August 18, when they face Everton at Elland Road at 8:00 PM.
For Arsenal, this trip to Manchester marks the beginning of a punishing early schedule.
After their clash with United, they must navigate tricky ties against Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, and Newcastle — all within the opening seven weeks.
The fixture list, as always, is subject to change based on TV selections and other logistical factors.
However, the shape of the season is now clear: 38 matchweeks, 380 matches, and countless moments of drama lie ahead.
As excitement builds, clubs will now begin final preparations for the season opener, with transfers, preseason matches, and tactical plans all taking centre stage. Let the countdown begin!
