Balogun, who is 36 years old, signed a one-year contract with Aris Limassol, a former champion of the Cypriot First Division. His move is seen as a big boost for the team as they prepare for both the upcoming league season and their participation in the UEFA Conference League.

Aris Limassol will face Hungarian side, Puskas Akademia FC, in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. The first leg of the match will take place at the Alphamega Stadium in Cyprus on Thursday, July 24. The second leg will be held one week later at the Pancho Arena in Hungary.

Balogun brings a lot of experience to the squad, having played for many top clubs across Germany, England, and Scotland. He has also played for the Nigerian national team 46 times, featuring in major international tournaments like the Africa Cup of Nations and the FIFA World Cup.

His leadership and defensive skills are expected to play a key role in helping Aris Limassol succeed in both domestic and European competitions this season.
