Shola Allyson signs with Sony Music, hints at global collaborations

Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Shola Allyson, has officially signed a deal with Sony Music Publishing Nigeria.

The announcement was made on Friday evening through a post on Instagram by the global music company. In the post, Sony Music Publishing said, “We are happy to announce that the legendary Shola Allyson is joining the SMP (Sony Music Publishing) family.”

Confirming the development, Shola Allyson also shared a video on her Instagram page where she expressed her excitement.

“Hello everyone, my name is Shola Allyson. I’m so excited, grateful, happy, and full of good feelings to let you know about my new signing with Sony Music Publishing Nigeria,” she said.

“I’m looking forward to greater things. I know good things have happened in the past, but I believe there are more great opportunities and new collaborations ahead,” she added.

The new deal is being celebrated as a major step in Allyson’s musical journey, which has spanned over two decades. Known for her soulful and inspirational gospel music, Allyson gained nationwide fame with her hit song Eji Owuro, and has since released several well-received albums.
