Popular Nigerian singer and Marlian Music star, Zinoleesky, has opened up about how becoming a father has completely changed his life, making him more responsible, focused, and mature.

The music sensation, whose real name is Oniyide Azeez, became a first-time father in December 2023 when he welcomed a baby girl named Zendaya. Just a few months later, in April 2024, he became a father again with the birth of his son, Zafar. Since then, Zinoleesky said his priorities have shifted drastically.

Speaking during a recent interview with media personality Adesope, Zinoleesky revealed that fatherhood has helped him cut off bad habits, keep his head straight, and focus more on his career, family, and future.

“Fatherhood means a lot to me. I will say I’m a changed person since my boy got here,” he said. “There are things I would have done before, or let’s say the way I used to do certain things, I’ve reduced now just because of the boy. I have to keep my head down, stay focused, and do things the right way. It’s been a real blessing to me.”

He added that having children has helped him see life differently and take more meaningful decisions. According to him, being a father has made him understand the importance of stability, growth, and setting a good example.

Zinoleesky, who rose to fame with his street-style Afrobeat sound and energetic performances, also acknowledged that this new phase of his life has brought a sense of peace and deeper purpose. He said fatherhood has become a source of strength and inspiration that pushes him to become a better man—not just for himself but for his children.

In recent years, the singer has been surrounded by both fame and controversies, but it appears that fatherhood has grounded him and given him a fresh outlook.
