Why I dumped Titi, clashed with Emmanuella - Kwam 1 breaks silence

Veteran Nigerian Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as Kwam 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has debunked claims of reconciling with his estranged wife, Fathia Titi Marshall.

He stated emphatically that she is “gone forever” from his life.

The 68-year-old music legend made this known in an exclusive interview with renowned journalist Stella Dimoko-Korkus, while reacting to viral reports alleging that his supposed reunion with Titi Marshall had caused a rift in his current marriage to Emmanuella Aderopo.

Rumours had swirled shortly after the Sallah festivities, suggesting that Kwam 1 had rekindled ties with Titi and her children, prompting Emmanuella to reportedly move out of his residence.

However, setting the record straight, the Fuji maestro dismissed the reconciliation claims and reaffirmed that his only wife remains Emmanuella.

“Titi Marshall is gone forever,” he said. “But I can’t shut my eyes out on the three children we shared together because she is gone.”

Speaking on his relationship with Emmanuella, Kwam 1 denied any separation and attributed any tension to common relationship challenges, particularly involving social media use.

“I’m not estranged with Emmanuella. We don’t have any problems,” he insisted. “It’s a natural thing to say a woman is jealous. The only problem in a relationship is what rules you are trying to put up.”

He also revealed that he had cautioned Emmanuella to stay off social media and focus more on her business, a suggestion she allegedly found difficult to accept.

“Emmanuella brought this upon herself because I have told her to leave social media and concentrate on her business. But I guess she didn’t like it that way,” he explained.

“She’s not getting younger anymore. She already has two grown-ups at the university, and the third is about to join them. So, these are issues we need to ponder over—not social media things.”

The Fuji icon concluded by emphasizing that he has no intention of taking a new wife.

“I don’t have any plans to take a new wife. Emmanuella is my only wife,” he declared.

Kwam 1 married Titi Marshall in 2018 but left the union to marry Emmanuella in 2021.
