Nigeria’s sprint queen, Tobi Amusan stormed to an emphatic win in the women’s 100m hurdles at the prestigious Ostrava Golden Spike meet, clocking a season-best 12.45 seconds, PM News reports.
Amusan, the reigning African and Commonwealth champion, displayed her trademark explosive speed and flawless technique to leave the competition trailing.
Slovakia’s Viktória Forster came in second with 12.74 seconds, while Ireland’s Sarah Lavin secured third place at the women’s 100m hurdles returning with a time of 12.76 seconds.
The race further strengthens Amusan’s position as one of the leading contenders for gold at the next Olympic Games.
Her time of 12.45s not only places her among the fastest hurdlers this season but also sends a clear message to her rivals.
