Ogun lawmakers reinvite 17 individuals over illegal sale of Housing Corp. lands

Ogun State House of Assembly, through its Committee on Lands and Housing has re- invited some of individuals allegedly involved in illegal sales of lands belonging to the State Housing Corporation at Ibido Community Area, Sagamu Estate in Sagamu Local Government Area of the State.
The House Committee led by Damilola Soneye issued the invitation following the failure of a set of eight individuals involved in the alleged illegal sales of the Corporation lands to honour the two earlier invitations extended to them.
Those involved in the allegation as contained in the petition by the Corporation including Mr. Emmanuel Osho, Mr. Folabi Osho, Mr. Moshood Lawal Keji, Mr. Owodunni Sodipo, Mr. Adeyiga Jeje Lambo, Mr. Abiodun Soneye, Mr. Tikare and Mr. Hammed Sodipe.
The House Committee warned that failure of the individuals to appear before the Assembly on Thursday, 26th of June at 12.00 noon, the State House of Assembly would not hesitate to issue a warrant for their arrest to compel them to attend in line with section 129 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ( as amended).
The House Committee also invited another set of nine individuals allegedly involved in land grabbing activities known as “Omo Oniles” who were encroaching on the Housing Corporation Itanrin Estate in Ijebu-Ode.
The Committee said the individuals involved included: Mr. Sikiru Shittu Onakoya, Mr. Ismail Onakoya, Mr. Azeez Shittu Onakoya, Mr. Tunde Onakoya, Alhaji Olukorede Baoku, Mr. Adeleke Yekeen Abu, Alhaji Ikililu Alawiye, Chief Akeem Abajo and Mr. Adegunwa Kunle Oluwatosin are to appear before the Assembly Committee to respond to allegations of illegal encroachment on the corporation’s land at Itanrin Estate, Ijebu Ode, on Thursday, 26th of June, 2025 at 1.00pm prompt.
The Committee also warned that failure of the individuals to appear, the House of Assembly would invoke the relevant section of the constitution to issue a warrant of arrest to compel them to appear before the State legislature.
