David Beckham lands in hospital

Former England international and football icon, David Beckham, has been hospitalised following an undisclosed injury believed to affect his arm.

His wife, Victoria Beckham, broke the news on Friday via Instagram, sharing a photo of the 50-year-old lying in a hospital bed with a sling supporting his arm. He was also seen wearing a medical gown.

“Get well soon Daddy,” she captioned the post.

Another image showed Beckham wearing a beaded bracelet that spelled out the same get-well message.

The exact cause or nature of the injury is yet to be made public.

Beckham’s hospitalisation comes just weeks after he was named among the recipients of the King’s Birthday Honours, where he was awarded a knighthood for his contribution to sport and charitable work.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder has yet to release a statement regarding his condition.
