“I had periods of unavoidable isolation and just shit, so I charged it. And I focused on self-mastery and transmutation, all the while saying no to certain opportunities that nggas would kill for because I stand for something. I know what I want and where I’m going, and I won’t sell my soul just to belong and keep up appearances. Nggas called me crazy lol but I am—I’m a f*cking genius,” GoodGirl LA wrote.
The singer also spoke on how she her friends viewed her during that phase. The revealed thar her parents regarded her as a failure and this changed her perspective on things.
“In that period, my ‘friends’ started to look down on me and pretty much just shenked me. Bruh, even my own parents did too and called me a failure. It changed my view on what’s really important. I’ve seen how the world treats a young girl that’s tryna achieve greatness. The cheers and boos aren’t what any of this is about. It’s really all about art, touching my Gs and the world,” she wrote
