It was a glorious atmosphere of worship, consecration, and celebration as Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Mercyland (Palace of Praise), Mercyland Unity Zonal Headquarters,Akute has marked its 28th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service with the theme: “Be Strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might” (Ephesians 6:10).
The week featured revival services, a praise vigil, and spiritual impartations, culminating in the consecration of new Elders and Deaconesses, as well as the appointment of new church officers, organized with the dedicated support of the church’s leadership, including Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Wisdom Davies Akoni, and Curate, Pastor Segun Adediran.
Founded in 1997 by Evangelist J.A. Adelakun (Ayewa International) in response to God’s calling, CAC Mercyland has grown from humble beginnings to become a spiritual beacon, guided by the Holy Spirit and rooted in a mandate to build a house for the Lord.
Delivering a powerful message titled “Be Strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might,” Pastor M.A. Ajayi (Ketu DCC Superintendent), who represented Pastor S.A. Adedayo (Akinyele Regional Superintendent), emphasized the importance of spiritual strength and empowerment through the Holy Spirit.
He noted, “To be strong in the Lord means to possess internal spiritual strength. Without the Holy Spirit, we are powerless. We need to be anointed, to possess living faith that can move mountains.”
Pastor Ajayi also explained three categories of faith—Saving Faith (at the point of salvation), the Gift of Faith (through the Holy Spirit), and Living Faith (the faith that conquers trials). He urged believers to remain strong as the Christian journey involves spiritual warfare in a world dominated by wickedness.
Also in attendance was Pastor Tunde Kajogbola of Grace Way Chapel International, who led the congregation in a session on sacrificial giving and the importance of doing good works.
