4 years after rescue, Nollywood actor Aguba battles life-threatening illness
Award-winning Nigerian actor Kenneth Aguba, rescued from the street four years ago, is battling prostate cancer.
This was revealed by Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), in an emotional Facebook post on Monday.
It’s been four years today that the cleric took in the Nollywood legend, who was homeless and sleeping at a public market at the time.
Apostle Chinyere announced that the doctors recently found out that Aguba is suffering from prostate cancer and now visits weekly hospital consultations.
Despite the health emergency, the OPM founder never lost optimism.
“We strongly believe in divine healing,” he explained. “But we also believe that God gives knowledge to doctors to heal men.”
The cleric continued that OPM constructed two free specialist hospitals where operations and treatments are conducted 100% free of charge, regardless of religious beliefs.
“These hospitals welcome all people, Christians, Muslims, and even those from other denominations,” he added.
At the entrance of every facility is inscribed: ‘We care, but God heals’.
Nigerians were asked to pray for Aguba’s healing by Apostle Chinyere, quoting that the actor has no wife or relatives who are taking care of him now.
“So far, no brother, no sister, no wife. OPM has borne this burden alone, from tithe and offering,” Apostle Chinyere stated.
Support messages have since inundated the post, with most thanking the pastor and praying for Aguba to recover.
