Veteran Nollywood actor, Fatai Adekunle Adetayo, popularly known as Lalude, has voiced his disappointment over a perceived snub by celebrated actress Sola Sobowale, claiming she no longer acknowledges him as her senior in the industry.
In a recent interview on Behind the Fame – African A-List, Lalude opened up about their strained relationship, recounting a particular incident at a show hosted by Olayemi Olayinka where Sobowale, despite knowing he was present, allegedly ignored him.
“She did something that pained me one day,” Lalude said. “I was at Olayemi Olayinka’s show and I heard Sola Sobowale was there and she knew I was around also, but didn’t bother to come say hi. She’s not even older than me.”
The veteran actor also recalled how actress Ngozi had introduced a then-aspiring Sobowale to him during the production of Ogun Awoyaya, a stage play by Uncle Jide Kosoko at the National Theatre in Lagos.
According to Lalude, despite her fame and public image, Sola Sobowale is not as wealthy as she appears. “Regardless of her living abroad, she’s not truly wealthy,” he claimed.
