Tammy Abraham jets to Turkey ahead of new club deal
England striker Tammy Abraham is set to join Turkish club Besiktas from AS Roma.
The 27-year-old was seen in a video shared by the club, confirming he was on his way to Istanbul.
“Hello Black Eagles, I’m coming for you. See you at the airport today,” Abraham said in the short clip.
Besiktas are expected to sign Abraham on a four-year deal. He will become one of their biggest signings in recent years.
Abraham spent last season on loan at AC Milan where he scored 10 goals. However, Milan decided not to keep him.
“Double digits for goals and full effort every minute! Thanks, Tammy,” the club wrote in a farewell message.
The England forward began his career at Chelsea. He also played on loan at Bristol City, Swansea, and Aston Villa before joining Roma in 2021 for £34m.
At Roma, Abraham helped the club win the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022 under José Mourinho.
He has scored three goals in 11 appearances for the England national team.
