Why Christians shouldn’t practice BDSM in marriage – Woli Arole

Popular Nigerian comedian-turned-pastor, Woli Arole, has stirred controversy on social media with his bold view against the practice of BDSM among Christians, even within the confines of marriage.

Taking to Instagram, Arole revealed that he had been asked whether it is acceptable for Christians to engage in BDSM in their marital relationships,  a question he answered with a firm no.

“I was asked, ‘Can a Christian do BDSM in marriage?’ My own answer is NO,” he wrote, shutting down the idea entirely.

BDSM — a controversial umbrella term that includes bondage, discipline, dominance, submission, and sadism, has often been discussed within pop culture, but Woli Arole’s spiritual rejection of it has reignited moral and religious discourse.
