Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved a fresh round of appointments aimed at strengthening key institutions and improving service delivery across the state.
This was contained in a Statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Friday.
The new appointees and their respective positions are as follows: Dr. Bashir A. Muzakkari, Director General, Kano State Information & Communication Technologies Development Agency (KASITDA).
Before this appointment, Dr. Bashir Abdu Muzakkari was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital and Creative Economy.
Kabiru Saidu Dakata, Director General, Kano State Advert & Signage Agency (KASA).
Dr. Fatima Abdul Abubakar (Amneef), Director General, Kano State Social Protection Agency (KASPA).
Before her appointment, Fatima was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Enlightment and Social Mobilization.
Engr. Isyaku Umar Kwa, Deputy Managing Director, Kano State Housing Corporation; Hamisu Musa Gambo Danzaki, Executive Secretary, Kano State Scholarship Board.
Barr. Isma’il Nasarawa, Provost, Anti-Corruption Institute; Captain Mohd Bello Maigaskiya Gabasawa (Rtd.), Commandant, Corporate Security Institute.
In another statement, Tofa said Governor Yusuf also approved the appointment of additional Senior Special Assistants (SSA) to further strengthen governance and enhance service delivery in the state.
The newly appointed Senior Special Assistants and their respective portfolios are as follows: Hon. Sunusi Kata Madobi – Senior Special Assistant, Radio I (to replace late Abdullahi Tanka); Mika’ilu Shu’aibu (Ghari) – Senior Special Assistant, Hisbah; Muhktar Abdullahi Shuwaki (Ghari), Senior Special Assistant, Land.
Engr. Sagir Lawan Waziri (Ghari) – Senior Special Assistant, Corporate Social Responsibility (Works); Najeef Abdulsalam – Senior Special Assistant, Yan Akwati(Men); Huwaila Iguda – Senior Special Assistant, Yan Akwati II (Women); Naziru Hamidu Bako – Senior Special Assistant, KAROTA; Usman Abbas Sunusi – Senior Special Assistant, Protocol II; Engr. Usman Kofar Naisa – Senior Special Assistant, Mahaha Sports Complex.
Danladi Alhassan Mai-Bulala – Senior Special Assistant, Public Mobilization II; Abdulkhadir Umar Kwankwaso – Senior Special Assistant, Education (Abuja); Balarabe Aminu Yusuf – Senior Special Assistant, Domestic III (Guest Government House), promoted from Personal Assistant Domestic; Shukurana Garba Langel, Senior Special Assistant, Public Mobilization- Kano North.
Mustapha Ma’aruf Diso, Senior Special Assistant, Primary Healthcare; Garba Yahaya Labour, Senior Special Assistant, Transportation (I); Humaira Sharif, Senior Special Assistant, Women Enlightment; Muttaka Sani Gaya, Senior Special Assistant, Support Groups III; Gausu Nuhu Wali, Senior Special Assistant, Indoginous Artists; Hadiza Sale (Baby) Senior Special Assistant, Sanitation.
The Governor expressed confidence that the newly appointed officials will bring their wealth of experiences and commitment to bear in driving the vision and policies of the state to greater heights.
