Ola Aina signs new Nottingham Forest deal until 2028

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has extended his stay at Nottingham Forest, signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028.

The 27-year-old joined Forest in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer after leaving Italian side Torino. Since then, he has become a key part of the squad, featuring regularly at full-back throughout the 2024/25 season.

Aina’s contract renewal comes just days after fellow right-back Neco Williams also signed a new deal, signalling the club’s intent to maintain a strong, settled defensive lineup.

Aina made 22 Premier League appearances last season and was praised for his pace, versatility, and defensive discipline. His extension ensures more continuity at the back as Forest look to build on last season’s campaign.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the new deal via his official X handle on Monday, July 7, noting that the player had agreed fresh terms to stay at the City Ground until 2028.
