Italian football giants Juventus are preparing an official bid to sign Nigerian midfielder , Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City this summer.

Ndidi’s future has become uncertain after Leicester City was relegated from the English Premier League last season. Due to a release clause in his contract, the 29-year-old midfielder is available for just €9 million, a fee that has attracted the attention of top European clubs.

Reports indicate that Manchester United and Everton are also monitoring his situation closely.

In addition, clubs in the Saudi Pro League have shown interest and are ready to tempt him with lucrative offers. However, Ndidi has not yet made up his mind about his next move.

Ndidi joined Leicester City in January 2017 from Belgian side KRC Genk for €17 million. Since then, he has built a strong reputation as one of the most consistent defensive midfielders in England, known for his tackling, interceptions, and ability to protect the defence.

Despite Leicester’s relegation, Ndidi remains a key figure for the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, and his next club decision will likely influence his preparation for upcoming international competitions, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the Africa Cup of Nations.

Juventus are believed to see Ndidi as an ideal addition to strengthen their midfield options ahead of next season, as they aim to challenge for the Serie A title and make a strong run in European competitions.
