In an interview with BBC, the Yoruba movie icon said she is not against marrying again, but only if it aligns with God's will.
Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has revealed her openness to remarriage, stating that she is willing to give love a second chance if the right man comes along.
In an interview with BBC, the Yoruba movie icon said she is not against marrying again, but only if it aligns with God’s will.
“If God has a man who goes to the age of six, I won’t wait until he is five and a half,” she said metaphorically. “If God says he will go to the top of the mountain, he will not stop until he reaches the top of the mountain.”
Wright, who has been a household name in the Nigerian film industry for decades, added: “It’s something I like, but only if God forbids it. I don’t tell women to try it, because I like it.”
The actress also used the interview to address the growing trend of nudity among Nigerian actresses, noting that it’s not exclusive to the entertainment industry.
“It’s not just actresses exposing themselves. Many women in Nigeria have joined the trend,” she said. “I often ask men, is it because of you that women expose their breasts? And many say they actually prefer women who dress decently.”
