Ogun 2027: Group canvasses zoning of governorship to Yewa-Awori zone

A socio-political organization, Ogun Visionaries, has demanded that the Yewa Awori zone should be allowed to produce the governor of the state in the 2027 election.

The group said this at a recent press conference addressed by its convener, Leye Odunjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State recently.

He emphasized the need for unity and strategic planning to achieve this goal.

He said “The Ogun Visionaries believe that Yewa Awori must speak with one voice to build momentum for the governorship ambition,” he said while noting that the group has endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as their preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

He also lauded the achievements of Senator Adeola in the senatorial district, citing his efforts in employment, appointments, project execution, and infrastructure development.

The group therefore appealed to residents of Ogun State to support Senator Adeola’s candidacy, citing his leadership qualities, vision, and commitment to the state’s development.

“We believe that if Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi’s emergence as governor he will truly transform the State and consolidate on the gains of past governors.

“He is a man with a clear vision, dedication, and focus to effectively manage the state’s economic potential and natural resources if given the mandate,” the group said.
