Mohbad’s father reveals shocking details about singer’s final hours

Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, the father of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has recounted the events leading to his son’s untimely death.

In an emotional interview with social media activist Vincent Otse Martins, aka VeryDarkMan, Aloba revealed that he was first informed of his son’s illness around 4:30 p.m. on September 12, 2023, by Mohbad’s mother.

He said they both rushed to the hospital in Osapa London, only to be told by the singer’s uncle, Darosha, that Mohbad was recovering and that he could return home.

Aloba, however, said he grew suspicious, sensing something was wrong due to the sudden change in the narrative. “I was already sensing my son was dead, because of how they kept calling me that he was unwell and all of a sudden, they said he was fine,” he recounted.

He added that when he got to the residence, he was initially blocked from entering. After gaining access and going upstairs—where he and Mohbad usually met—he noticed the singer’s duvet was soaked in blood.

The grieving father also revealed that after giving a statement at the police station, he was denied access to the police report because he hadn’t reported the death immediately. He further alleged that Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, withheld the doctor’s report and that the singer’s body was embalmed at home without his consent, as the morgue refused to accept it that night.
