“Show me real juju!” Skiibii dares worshippers with ₦5M reward

Afrobeats singer Abbey Elias, popularly known as Skiibii, has thrown down a daring challenge to traditional spiritualists, offering a ₦5 million reward to anyone who can demonstrate the effectiveness of juju (charm) in front of him.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the singer expressed skepticism about the existence and potency of juju, particularly referencing the popular claim that some individuals can become “bulletproof” through supernatural means, known in local parlance as odeshi.

“I been dey hear say odeshi dey but I never see am with my eyes cos I no believe say juju dey,” he wrote. “If dem shoot person e no go enter ke? Haa come perform am for my front. If e no enter, I go give you ₦5 million.”
