Chelsea Football Club have emerged champions of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after a thrilling final showdown against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday, July 13.

The victory not only secured their status as the best club side in the world but also came with a massive financial reward — a whopping $70 million for reaching and winning the final.

The revamped tournament format, featuring 32 teams and a $1 billion prize pool, has transformed the Club World Cup into one of the most lucrative events in global football.

Chelsea’s triumph in the final earned them $40 million, in addition to the $30 million awarded for qualifying for the title match.

Over the course of the tournament, Chelsea played six matches, racking up wins and substantial prize money at every stage.

Their journey to the title included group stage wins over LAFC ($2 million) and ES Tunis ($2 million), as well as knockout victories against Benfica ($7.5 million), Palmeiras ($13.125 million), and Fluminense ($21 million).

In total, Chelsea’s earnings from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup stand at an estimated $89.5 million, including group stage winnings and progression bonuses, with the final victory bringing their overall haul to $159.5 million making it the most lucrative campaign in the club’s history.

The tournament’s financial structure rewards success at every level:

  • Group Stage Wins: $2 million per win
  • Round of 16: $7.5 million
  • Quarter-Finals: $13.125 million
  • Semi-Finals: $21 million
  • Finalist: $30 million
  • Champion: Additional $40 million

Chelsea’s dominance throughout the tournament and their final triumph over PSG have not only added another trophy to their cabinet but have also reinforced their global stature  on the pitch and in the bank.

FIFA changed the format of the FIFA World Club Cup with Participating teams increases from 8 to 32 and a four-year duration.

Chelsea are now  Europa Conference league and FIFA  World Club Cup winners in the same year 2025.

The London side will also feature in next season’s UEFA Champions League after finishing 4th in the English Premier League last season.
