The Katsina State Government has announced the postponement of the burial of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari to Tuesday.
The former President who died in London on Sunday, was initially scheduled to be buried on Monday.
But Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State in a briefing with journalists, said there was a change in schedule.
He said that the adjustment to the schedule followed consultations with Buhari’s family and associates in London.
He said, “We have made consultations with his family and people around him in London, and we have concluded that the body will arrive tomorrow by 12 p.m. ”
Radda said the burial will now take place at 2 p.m. in Daura, Buhari’s hometown in Katsina State.
