The meeting began with an opening prayer led by Mr. Adeosun from Oshodi-Isolo LGA, followed by the accreditation of attendees. A special prayer session was held in memory of former President Muhammadu Buhari and for the peace and progress of Nigeria, ADC, and Lagos State.

Hon. Rahman Owokoniran, one of the leaders of the Lagos State Coalition, delivered the opening remarks, welcoming attendees and emphasising the urgency of unity among coalition members. He reiterated the mission of the coalition, which is to rescue Lagos State and Nigeria from the long-standing grip of the APC.

Pastor Kayode Jacobs gave a detailed report of the recent unveiling of the National Rescue Mandate in Abuja, emphasising the coalition’s clear mandate to reclaim Lagos State from the ruling party. He stressed the need for strategic mobilisation and enlightenment of voters, particularly at the local level.

The ADC Lagos State Chairman, Hon. George Ashiru, gave a passionate address, appreciating the strong turnout and commitment of attendees. He pledged to uphold fairness, transparency, and openness to suggestions from all members and clarified that the Lagos coalition is not just a political party, but a movement to rescue and rebuild Lagos and Nigeria.

Hon. Ashiru announced an additional slogan for Lagos State, “Global Lagos,” to accompany the national slogan, “Arise Nigeria.” He encouraged members to build their grassroots structures, emphasising that ADC’s strength is 95% grassroots-driven.

As part of strategic mobilisation efforts, contact persons were appointed for all 20 Local Government Areas in Lagos State. For Ifako Ijaiye LGA, Chief Sunday Oyesina, Mr. Gift Egbiri, and Mr. Aladeyelu were named as immediate mobilisation leads.

The meeting was attended by several prominent members, including Chief Sunday Oyesina, Mr. Gift Iragbiri, Hon. Babatope, and Alh. Muftau Oyelakin, Hon. Kanmi Agbaje, Alhaja B. Lawal, Dcn. Zubair Samuel, Hon. Idẹra Sodipo, and Comrd. Adelani Nurudeen, among others.
