First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has rewarded 3,016 customers in the 10th season of its popular Millionaire Promo, an initiative aimed at promoting savings culture and financial inclusion across Nigeria.
Since the campaign began in January, 12 lucky customers have each received the star prize of ₦1 million, while an additional 3,004 participants have won various cash prizes through electronic draws conducted monthly. The promo is open to both new and existing savings account holders and will run until September.
The latest draw, held on June 17, saw four more individuals—Ranti Badmos (Lagos), Wilson Onoezikome (Kaduna), Esther Obafemi (Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State), and Israel Oruma (Asaba, Delta State)—win ₦1 million each. Another 112 customers also received cash rewards in the same round.
Among the new millionaires, Israel Oruma, a timber merchant, said the prize came at a crucial time.
“This is a pleasant surprise. I have been facing financial challenges recently. The ₦1 million will go a long way in assisting me. I’m investing it in my business and will encourage all my staff, family, and friends to open an account with the bank. Thank you, FCMB,” he said.
Speaking on the bank’s motivation, Adetunji Lamidi, Divisional Head of Personal Banking, stated, “The Millionaire Promo is part of our broader commitment to empowering Nigerians. At a time when many are grappling with economic uncertainty, this initiative not only encourages savings but also transforms lives.”
On the credibility of the selection process, Oyinkan Kusamotu, Principal Legal Officer at the Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Authority, commended FCMB for maintaining high standards.
“It’s great to witness FCMB’s commitment to compliance, fairness, and transparency throughout the draw process. This builds trust with customers and stakeholders,” Kusamotu noted.
To qualify for the ongoing promo, customers must grow their savings by at least ₦10,000 and maintain the balance for 30 days.
Each ₦10,000 increment boosts their chances of winning. Inactive accounts can also be reactivated to participate, and draws are held nationwide to ensure inclusivity.
