Both players have been key to Nigeria’s strong performance in the tournament so far.
Plumptre started Nigeria’s first two matches against Tunisia and Botswana. She stood out with her calm and solid defending.
Ajibade has played every minute of Nigeria’s three group games. At 25 years old, she has impressed with her attacking runs and connection between midfield and attack.
She was named Woman of the Match in Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Botswana.
Next, the Super Falcons will face Zambia’s Copper Queens in the quarter-finals. The match will take place on Friday at Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca. Kick-off is at 5 p.m. Nigerian time.
