Nollywood actress and political appointee Eniola Badmus has condemned the alarming trend of death wishes being spread by social media influencers, urging Nigerians to choose unity and decency over hatred and division.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress expressed deep concern over the misuse of online platforms to incite violence and hatred.
“It’s truly disheartening to see a social media influencer use their platform to wish death on anyone at all,” she wrote. “No matter your political views, we must never let hate override our humanity.”
Badmus, who currently serves as the Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Social Events and Public Hearing, emphasized that Nigeria’s path to change must be rooted in dialogue, truth, and unity—not violence.
“As Nigerians, we are better than this,” she added. “Let’s choose decency over division.”
