Troops kill 2 bandits in Plateau, recover AK-47

Soldiers of Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A have killed two bandits and recovered weapons in Plateau State.

The ambush happened on Tuesday evening in Nteng, Qua’an Pan LGA, after troops got intelligence on the movement of suspected criminals.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed this on X Thursday, saying the soldiers engaged the bandits around 7:34 p.m.

Items recovered include one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and 24 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

The military has taken custody of the weapons and boosted security in the area to prevent further attacks.
