The revelation prompted Trump to announce on July 17 that he had directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek the release of Epstein’s grand jury testimony, “subject to Court approval”.

A previously undisclosed letter from President Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, written for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003, has emerged, reigniting scrutiny of their past relationship.

The letter, detailed in a Wall Street Journal report, was part of a leather-bound album curated by Ghislaine Maxwell and featured a typewritten message framed by a hand-drawn outline of a naked woman, with Trump’s signature positioned below her waist, resembling pubic hair, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The text included cryptic lines such as, “We have certain things in common, Jeffrey… A pal is a wonderful thing,” and closed with, “Happy Birthday and may every day be another wonderful secret”

The letter, uncovered during Justice Department investigations into Epstein and Maxwell, was among contributions from prominent figures for Epstein’s birthday celebration.

Sources familiar with the album, including a former FBI analyst involved in Epstein’s 2006 Florida case, confirmed its authenticity, describing it as a reflection of the social ties between Trump and Epstein in the early 2000s as reported by the Newsweek.

The two were known to socialize at Mar-a-Lago and Manhattan events, though Trump has downplayed their connection in recent years.

President Trump denied authorship of the letter, calling the Wall Street Journal report “fake news” during a July 17 press briefing.

“I don’t draw pictures. I don’t write letters like that. It’s a total fabrication,” he said, threatening legal action against the outlet, CNN reports.

On Truth Social, Trump labeled the Journal a “disgusting rag” and claimed he’d warned its owner, Rupert Murdoch, against publishing.

Supporters, including activist Laura Loomer, echoed his denial, asserting, “Trump doesn’t type letters. This is fake”

The revelation prompted Trump to announce on July 17 that he had directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek the release of Epstein’s grand jury testimony, “subject to Court approval”.

Bondi confirmed the directive on X, promising swift action, though legal experts noted that such releases face significant judicial hurdles.

Critics on X called the move a distraction, with one user stating, “Trump’s letter to Epstein is real, and he’s scrambling to shift focus”.

Others demanded broader disclosure of Epstein’s files, using hashtags like #EpsteinCoverup.

The letter itself is not evidence of criminal activity, but its suggestive tone and timing have fueled public debate about the Epstein case and the elite networks surrounding it.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the album contained other high-profile contributions, though details remain limited.
